Charging to the finish line, Australia’s Emma Snowsill has
won the Women’s Triathlon with a time of 1:58.02.
Her first Commonwealth Games appearance, Emma went into the event as
the favourite and has claimed the gold medal.
New Zealand’s Samantha Warriner followed 35 seconds behind to
claim the silver medal.
For the bronze, New Zealand’s Andrea Hewitt managed to hold out
compatriot Debbie Stella Tanner.

Brad Kahlefeldt has made it a day of
double celebration for Australia's triathletes by taking gold in the
Commonwealth Games men's event at St Kilda.
Surging midway through the 10
kilometer run leg. The New South Wales triathlete broke away
to claim gold in a time of 1:49:16.
New Zealand's Bevan Docherty won silver and Australia's Peter
Robertson took bronze.
